Mateus Mane Attracts Interest from Major European Clubs Amid Wolves Coaching Change
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ promising talent, Mateus Mane, is reportedly garnering interest from multiple clubs, including Newcastle United.
The Championship side is currently focused on finalizing the appointment of Cesar Peixoto from Gil Vicente as their new head coach following the dismissal of Rob Edwards last Thursday.
Edwards had previously assured that the 18-year-old would remain at Molineux despite the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
According to reports from the Express & Star, there is optimism within the club that Mane will continue with them for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
However, it has been noted that at least three clubs are monitoring his situation closely.

Clubs Interested in Mateus Mane
Newcastle United is reportedly looking to negotiate a deal for the Portugal Under-21 international.
Despite Wolverhampton’s disappointing relegation, Mane enjoyed a breakout season in 2025-26, making 27 appearances in the Premier League.
He scored three goals and provided two assists during 1,790 minutes of play, which has attracted attention from larger clubs.
The latest reports indicate that Bundesliga teams Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt are also interested in signing the talented playmaker.
Dortmund has a reputation for providing young players with ample opportunities and finished second in last season’s Bundesliga.
Earlier this year, Manchester United and Liverpool were also linked with interest in Mane.

Mane’s Asking Price
At this stage, it is unclear what it would take for Wolves to reconsider their position on Mane’s availability.
With the club set to miss out on Premier League revenue for the first time in nine years, they still have avenues to generate funds through other means.
Given that Mane is under a long-term contract, it is unlikely that Wolves would entertain offers below £30 million.
