Cairo Begins Enrollment for Sports Schools for 2026-2027 Academic Year

The Cairo Directorate of Education has announced the opening of applications for sports schools for the 2026-2027 academic year, under the supervision of Dr. Hamat Ismail Abu Kila. This initiative aims to support and discover talented athletes.

Application File Collection Dates

Students interested in enrolling in the middle and secondary sports programs can collect application files starting from Sunday, June 14, 2026, until Thursday, July 16, 2026.

• Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Sports School affiliated with the Waily Educational Administration
• Al-Salahdar Girls Sports School affiliated with the Heliopolis Educational Administration

Admission Requirements

The admission criteria include the following:.

• The student must pass sixth grade and be promoted to the first year of middle school.
• Collecting the application file during the specified period.
• For secondary school admission, candidates must have completed middle school, subject to availability.
• Passing required cultural, scientific, and sports tests.

Opportunities for Championship Winners

The sports schools offer admission to students who have secured first to fourth place in official international, Arab, or African championships without being subject to basic education certificate score requirements, depending on available slots. This opportunity also extends to champions of recognized central republic championships.

Medical Examination and Additional Requirements

A medical examination is mandatory, including eye tests, chest and heart examinations, complete blood analysis, and intelligence testing. The medical check-up can be conducted through health insurance or government hospitals near the school where the student is applying.

Final Admission Tests

Students will need to undergo posture assessments as well as physical and skill tests before final results are announced.
