Education Directorate Responds to Viral Video of Exam Dispute in Sharqia

The Sharqia Directorate of Education and Technical Education has addressed a viral video circulating on social media that depicts a brawl involving several individuals outside an examination center for the preparatory certificate.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Directorate clarified that the footage shows a confrontation among some parents outside the Nasser Bin Abdullah Al-Masnad School for Basic Education in the Faqous Educational Administration, coinciding with the end of the preparatory certificate examination and the exit of students from the exam hall.

The Directorate emphasized that the altercation occurred as students were leaving the examination venue and involved parents with personal disputes. Contrary to claims circulating on social media, there were no teachers involved in the incident. Furthermore, no complaints were received from supervisors or staff at the school regarding this event.

Social media users shared clips from outside one of Sharqia’s schools, alleging it showed parents attacking teachers for enforcing strict monitoring during exams and preventing cheating among their children.
