Written byNoha El Shafie

Preparations are in full swing as Qena Governor Dr. Mostafa El-Beblawy announced the highest level of readiness across all executive and service sectors in the province ahead of the upcoming high school certificate exams for the academic year 2025/2026. The exams are set to commence tomorrow, Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Governor El-Beblawy confirmed that a total of 20,202 students will take their exams under both the old and new systems across 45 examination committees throughout the province. Among these, one committee is designated for visually impaired students. Additionally, arrangements have been made for 25 rest areas equipped with necessary amenities for committee heads and supervisors who will be working away from home.

El-Beblawy emphasized the importance of adhering to all regulations and instructions set forth by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. He highlighted the need to ensure that examination venues are fully prepared, providing a safe and quiet environment for both students and supervisors.

The governor directed strict measures to prevent any attempts at cheating or bringing mobile phones and electronic devices into examination halls, urging continuous checks on the readiness of exam committees and rest areas to ensure their efficient operation.

He also stressed logistical considerations to guarantee student safety, including adequate ventilation and fans in classrooms, as well as ensuring sufficient supplies of cold water for students.

In collaboration with the electricity sector, El-Beblawy instructed that alternative power sources (generators) be provided within examination venues to counter any unexpected power outages and maintain an uninterrupted focus for students.

The governor noted ongoing coordination among relevant agencies to ensure smooth exam operations. He confirmed that main and auxiliary operations rooms at the Directorate of Education and educational administrations will be activated around the clock, linked directly to the National Emergency Network Control Center at the governorate’s headquarters. This setup aims to monitor exam progress continuously and respond promptly to any emergencies that may disrupt the examination process.

El-Beblawy issued strict directives to heads of centers and cities to conduct intensive campaigns against any encroachments around schools and prevent street vendors from gathering nearby. Efforts will also focus on increasing cleanliness and clearing roads leading to exam venues. Coordination with Qena’s Health Directorate and Ambulance Authority has been established to provide medical teams and equipped ambulances near examination sites for immediate healthcare support when needed.

Finally, Governor El-Beblawy conveyed a message to students urging them to exert additional effort, focus, and diligence during this critical period in their educational journey. He wished them success while reassuring parents that all available resources have been mobilized to ensure their children’s safety and comfort during examinations.
