Seven Unlicensed Medical Facilities Shut Down in Zagazig, Egypt
Inspection Campaign by the Health Directorate in Sharqia.
The Health Directorate of Sharqia, led by Dr. Doaa Abaza, conducted a surprise inspection of private medical facilities in the city of Zagazig. The operation involved teams from the health departments of both Zagazig and Qalyubia.
Dr. Ahmed El-Baily, Deputy Minister of Health for Sharqia, reported that the inspection resulted in the closure of seven private medical facilities operating without licenses. These establishments were found to be severely lacking in health regulations and environmental compliance, including the absence of contracts with waste disposal systems for hazardous medical waste.

El-Baily emphasized that these intensive inspections will continue across all private medical facilities throughout various centers and cities within the governorate. He underscored that there will be no leniency towards any violations that could jeopardize public health. He also expressed gratitude to Dr. Doaa Abaza, head of the health administration, as well as to all inspectors and teams involved in this campaign for their dedicated efforts to serve patients and citizens in Sharqia.
