Egypt’s Water Minister Emphasizes Immediate Action Against Waste Dumping in Canals

Dr. Hani Sweilam, Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, visited Sharqia Governorate on Friday to assess the irrigation conditions in the area. This visit is part of a field tour across the eastern Delta provinces aimed at inspecting the water management system during peak water demand periods.

During his visit, Sweilam stressed the importance of taking immediate action against individuals who illegally dump waste into canals. He announced that strict measures would be enforced, including fines and imprisonment for offenders.
