Cairo Governor Joins Asmarat Residents for World Cup Opening
Dr. Ibrahim Saber, the Governor of Cairo, will join residents of the Asmarat neighborhood this evening at 8 PM to watch the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup on a large screen provided by the governorate. This initiative is part of a broader effort, with five screens installed across various locations in Cairo to allow citizens to enjoy this major sporting event for free in a safe and organized environment.
The Governor emphasized that the Cairo governorate is committed to supporting activities that bring joy to citizens, promote sportsmanship, and foster community engagement. He noted that several key sites have been equipped with large screens to accommodate crowds throughout the tournament. These locations include sports fields in front of the Asmarat neighborhood, Al-Rawda Youth Center, Al-Prince Ground in Al-Sahil neighborhood, Al-Ashar Market in East Nasr City, and Al-Basateen Youth Center.
