The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has issued a warning regarding significant weather phenomena expected to impact the weather across various regions today, Thursday.
In a post on its official Facebook page, the Authority stated that today’s conditions are expected to be hot and humid during the day in northern parts of the country, including Greater Cairo, while southern regions will experience extreme heat. The maximum temperature in Greater Cairo is forecasted to reach 35 degrees Celsius.
Furthermore, the Authority highlighted that increased humidity levels will exacerbate the feeling of heat. They warned of a significant phenomenon occurring in the morning, characterized by fog on some agricultural and highways near water bodies, particularly affecting Greater Cairo and parts of northern Egypt, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. This fog may be dense at times and could lead to reduced visibility on certain routes.
The report also noted occasional wind activity in areas of Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and South Sinai.
