Severe Weather Expected Today in Greater Cairo and Surrounding Areas

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has announced the significant weather phenomena expected to impact today’s weather, Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

In a post on its official Facebook page, the authority stated that extremely hot conditions are anticipated across most regions, with temperatures reaching a high of 36 degrees Celsius in Greater Cairo and milder conditions along the northern coasts.

The most significant phenomenon affecting the morning hours is expected to be fog on certain agricultural and highway routes near water bodies, which may be dense at times and accompanied by reduced horizontal visibility.

The authority also noted that there will be intermittent gusts of wind in Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta, along with a slight chance of low to mid-level cloud formation over Greater Cairo, the northern coasts, the Nile Delta, Canal Cities, and northern Upper Egypt.
