Weather Forecast for Sunday: Hot and Humid with Morning Fog

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced today the weather forecast for Sunday, June 21, 2026.

According to the agency, the day will start with moderate temperatures and humidity in the early morning, transitioning to hot and humid conditions in the daytime across northern regions and Greater Cairo, while southern areas will experience extreme heat. During the night, temperatures will remain moderate and humid in most areas, slightly warmer in southern Upper Egypt.

Increased Humidity Levels

The authority warned of rising humidity levels, which will enhance the sensation of heat by one to two degrees Celsius compared to shade temperatures.

The weather map indicates that there will be fog in the early morning from 4 AM to 8 AM in parts of northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, cities along the Suez Canal, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. This fog may be dense at times on certain roads.

Wind Activity and Light Rain Chances

On Sunday, wind activity is expected at speeds ranging from 30 to 40 km/h across most areas at intermittent times. These winds may stir up sand and dust in exposed areas of northern and southern Upper Egypt as well as South Sinai.

The statement also noted a very low chance of light rain (approximately 20%) in some coastal northern governorates and northern Delta regions at intervals throughout the day. There is also a slight possibility of low clouds forming over various areas of northern coasts, Delta regions, Greater Cairo, and Suez Canal cities, which could result in light drizzle that may not significantly impact conditions.

• Nile Delta: High of 32°C – Low of 21°C.

• Northeast Coast: High of 29°C – Low of 22°C.
• North Upper Egypt: High of 36°C – Low of 22°C.
• South Upper Egypt: High of 41°C – Low of 26°C.
