Minister of Supply Highlights ‘Carry On’ Project as a Model of Governance and Digital Transformation

Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Committee for the national project “Carry On” to monitor the ongoing implementation status, review progress rates, and assess operational plans. This initiative aims to ensure that project objectives are met within the specified timelines.

The meeting included leaders from the Holding Company for Food Industries, representatives from partner organizations, experts, and consultants involved in the project’s execution, alongside officials from the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade responsible for overseeing various implementation phases.

During the meeting, attendees reviewed the project’s current execution status, discussed accomplishments made during the past period, and addressed updates related to different execution stages. They also monitored approved timelines and coordination mechanisms among participating entities to ensure swift progress and achieve optimal operational and administrative efficiency.

Additionally, developments in design work, visual identity, management plans, and operation were discussed. Several proposals aimed at maximizing project benefits were also examined to enhance its role in improving the system of goods circulation and related services, ultimately raising market efficiency and enhancing service quality for citizens.

Dr. Farouk emphasized that the “Carry On” project is one of the strategic national initiatives reflecting the state’s commitment to enhancing internal trade systems and modernizing supply chains. He noted that this project serves as a comprehensive model combining operational efficiency with governance and digital transformation, supporting national efforts towards achieving sustainable food security.

The minister added that the project aims to revolutionize goods circulation by establishing a modern network based on global best practices in management and operations. This initiative is expected to reduce trading loops, decrease waste, and improve product delivery efficiency to consumers.

He highlighted that the project’s success hinges on continuous integration and coordination among all involved parties and partners while leveraging available expertise and resources to achieve high performance rates. The ministry is committed to regularly monitoring all execution phases to ensure adherence to targets and timelines.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Farouk urged for ongoing meticulous monitoring of all execution stages, preparation of periodic performance reports, and addressing any obstacles encountered during implementation. This will ensure completion of the project according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency while achieving developmental, economic, and social goals.
