Egypt’s Agriculture Ministry Initiates Plan to Enhance Dairy Collection Centers
Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Alaa Farouk, welcomed a delegation from “Beyti,” a leading company in the food industry, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and the company’s expansion plans in the Egyptian market. This meeting is part of the ministry’s efforts to maximize the benefits from livestock resources and ensure food security.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mustafa El-Sayed, along with Beyti’s General Manager Chris Aboud, Executive Vice President for Procurement and Agricultural Sector Mohamed Saif, Head of Government Affairs Hatem Hussein, and Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication Ghada Fouad.
During the meeting, Farouk emphasized the Egyptian government’s commitment to fully supporting investment initiatives. He underscored the crucial role of private sector participation as a key partner in comprehensive development efforts while outlining the ministry’s continuous endeavors to improve the investment climate and remove obstacles for investors to ensure capital inflow and expand productive projects.
The meeting included a comprehensive overview of Beyti’s strategic plans aimed at injecting new investments into the Egyptian market in the near future. These plans are expected to directly create new job opportunities for youth, increase export rates, and achieve maximum added value for local agricultural and livestock products, thereby supporting the national economy.
Additionally, discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in the national project to develop dairy collection centers and improve their operational efficiency to meet international standards. There was an agreement to leverage the technical expertise and research capabilities available at the Ministry of Agriculture in areas such as breed improvement and veterinary care to ensure food quality and safety for Egyptian consumers.
Company representatives expressed their appreciation for the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts in creating an attractive investment environment. They reaffirmed their commitment to continue expanding their operations in Egypt, recognizing it as one of the most important strategic markets in the region while actively contributing to sustainable rural development efforts.
Present at the meeting from the Ministry of Agriculture were Dr. Tarek Suleiman, Head of Livestock Development Sector, and Dr. Saad Moussa, Deputy Head of Agricultural Research Center overseeing foreign agricultural relations.
