Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf Intensifies Efforts to Strengthen Family Cohesion
Dr. Osama Raslan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Awqaf, announced that the ministry is intensifying its awareness efforts to enhance family cohesion and protect children from modern influences, particularly digital addiction. He emphasized that the family serves as the first line of defense in building awareness and safeguarding children from ideological and behavioral deviations.
In a phone interview on the program “This Morning,” broadcasted on “Extra News,” Raslan pointed out that Egyptian families are facing increasing challenges due to various modern influences that compete with their educational and guiding roles. This situation necessitates raising societal awareness about the importance of families and their pivotal role in nurturing generations and building national character.
Raslan further noted that digital addiction is one of the most significant challenges currently confronting families, as it negatively affects familial relationships and communication levels among members. He asserted that addressing this phenomenon begins within the family by promoting dialogue, communication, and instilling positive values.
The Ministry of Awqaf has launched an extensive awareness campaign aimed at strengthening family cohesion and supporting familial stability, involving 26 advocacy caravans. This initiative aligns with the ministry’s strategy to support Egyptian families and reinforce their core values.
He explained that these advocacy caravans aim to highlight the importance of families as the first line of defense in protecting children from ideological and behavioral deviations. Additionally, they seek to educate parents about their roles in raising a conscious generation capable of facing contemporary challenges, while also promoting values of dialogue, understanding, and responsibility within families. This approach contributes to societal stability and reinforces the moral and ethical foundations of the community.
