Egypt Begins Production of First Nissan Magnite in Africa

The Nissan Egypt factory in October City has officially produced the first Nissan Magnite in Africa, marking a significant milestone for the country.

This historic achievement was celebrated in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, highlighting Egypt’s position as a leading regional hub for automotive manufacturing.

During his tour in October City, Dr. Madbouly inaugurated and inspected several industrial projects across various sectors.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly emphasized that this event embodies Egypt’s strategy to deepen and localize manufacturing, particularly in the vital automotive sector.

The Prime Minister stated that the government is committed to providing support to major global companies to establish and develop a robust industrial base in Egypt. This initiative aims to transfer the latest global technologies, enhance the local component ratio, and open new export markets that serve the national economy and meet the country’s aspirations for regional leadership.

Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, added that the commencement of production for this new model in Egypt reflects the attractiveness of the Egyptian investment climate and its capability to attract leading global companies. He noted that the ministry is working on offering more investment incentives and commercial facilitation to support the expansion of the automotive sector, which will help boost Egyptian exports and enhance their competitiveness in regional and international markets.
