Egypt’s Minister of Military Production Emphasizes Investment in Human Capital and Advanced Manufacturing Systems

Dr. Salah Suleiman Jambalat, Egypt’s Minister of Military Production, announced that the ministry is implementing a comprehensive work strategy aligned with directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to deepen local manufacturing and localize modern technologies within military production companies.
During a meeting with a delegation from South Korea’s “Bongsan” company at the Ministry of Military Production’s training sector in Madinat Al-Salam, he emphasized that collaboration with leading global companies is a key pillar in achieving this strategy, particularly in advanced defense technology sectors.
At the start of the meeting, Jambalat welcomed the South Korean delegation, expressing his pride in the deep cooperative relations between Egypt and South Korea, which have seen significant development in recent years due to political support from both nations. He highlighted existing fruitful collaborations between military production companies and South Korean firms across several strategic industrial areas, reflecting mutual trust.
The discussions covered various topics of mutual interest, including opportunities for exchanging technical and technological expertise in defense industries. They also explored enhancing collaboration through supply chain integration, leveraging the Ministry’s capabilities to provide high-quality materials and production supplies at competitive prices, supported by a broad network of local suppliers. This approach aims to reduce import costs while boosting economic savings and enhancing the competitiveness of final products for both parties.
Jambalat noted that the Ministry possesses an advanced industrial and technological base along with extensive accumulated expertise in various military manufacturing fields. This positions it well for establishing fruitful partnerships that benefit mutual interests. He reiterated the ministry’s openness to collaborate with serious international partners to bolster Egypt’s efforts in building a robust and developed industrial base while enhancing national manufacturing and defense capabilities.
The minister further stated that industrial development hinges on integrating qualified human resources with advanced technological infrastructure and modernized production systems. He underscored the ministry’s commitment to investing in its human capital and adopting advanced manufacturing systems.
Representatives from Bongsan praised the manufacturing capabilities within military production companies, expressing their interest in strengthening cooperation with Egypt to achieve mutual goals and explore new avenues for future partnerships. They emphasized that defense industries are fundamental pillars of national strength.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Tarek Bakheet, Vice Chairman of the National Authority for Military Production, Eng. Mohamed Sherin Mohamed, Supervisor of Central Affairs at the Minister’s Office, along with several ministry leaders and heads of boards from various military production companies.
