Written byNoha El Shafie

The Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf is set to hold a cultural week at 27 mosques across various regional directorates from Sunday, June 7, 2026, to Tuesday, June 9, 2026, following the Maghrib prayer. This initiative is part of the “Correct Your Concepts” campaign aimed at promoting enlightened moderate thought and fostering awareness among different segments of society.

This event aligns with the ministry’s outreach strategy, which focuses on instilling religious and national values while combating extremist ideologies in all their forms. It also addresses the challenges posed by a decline in moral values and ethics, contributing to the restoration and construction of a conscious Egyptian national identity from both religious and national perspectives.

The first day’s session will focus on the value of contentment with God’s decree as one of the highest levels of faith, exploring its ability to bring tranquility and peace to the soul. It will discuss how this contentment helps believers face trials and challenges with steadfastness and certainty, while recognizing God’s wisdom and mercy in all circumstances.

The second day’s discussion will address the phenomenon of boasting and pride on social media platforms, examining its potential negative impacts on individuals and society. Topics will include the promotion of a culture of showiness, fostering envy, and unrealistic comparisons, along with emphasizing the importance of humility and using blessings in ways that please God while benefiting others.

On the third day, participants will explore the virtue of contentment and its role in achieving true happiness. The session will highlight that true wealth lies in self-sufficiency and how contentment protects individuals from greed and envy towards others’ possessions. It will encourage gratitude for blessings and their effective utilization for good.

The Ministry of Awqaf reiterates that these cultural and religious programs are part of its ongoing mission to disseminate true religious teachings, enhance intellectual and cultural awareness, and establish a framework of values and ethics that contributes to building an informed and cohesive society capable of facing challenges and shaping the future.
