Egypt’s Transport Ministry Highlights Importance of High-Speed Train Network

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport has released an infographic video detailing the significance of the high-speed train network, which aims to reduce travel times between governorates and facilitate citizen mobility while providing top-quality service to passengers.

The ministry emphasized that the high-speed train represents a new developmental artery for Egypt.

Furthermore, it noted that Egypt is constructing one of the largest high-speed train networks in the region, with a total project length of 2,000 km. The first line spans 660 km, starting from Ain Sokhna, passing through the New Administrative Capital, 6th of October City, Alexandria, and reaching El Alamein and Matrouh.

The operational speed of the train will reach up to 230 km/h, along with freight train lines.
