Egypt’s Transport Ministry Denies Claims on Alexandria Container Handling Company Shares

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport issued a statement on Friday evening, categorically denying recent reports circulating on various online platforms. The ministry refuted claims that members of the Maritime Navigation Chamber had submitted an urgent request to the presidency, demanding a halt to the granting of majority shares in Alexandria Container Handling Company to Emirati firms. The alleged move would increase their ownership stake to 90%, up from the current 51.33%.
