Severe Weather Conditions Expected in Greater Cairo on Thursday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has announced significant weather phenomena expected to impact the weather on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

According to the authority, hot weather is anticipated during the day across northern regions, including Greater Cairo, while southern areas will experience extremely hot conditions.

On its official Facebook page, the authority noted that there is a chance of fog in the morning across northern regions up to Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, canal cities, and central Sinai, which may be dense at times on some roads.

Additionally, intermittent winds are expected in Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, and the northern coasts. These winds may stir up sand and dust in exposed areas of southern Egypt and the Red Sea Governorate.

The meteorological authority also indicated a slight chance of light rain in parts of the northwestern coastal areas.
