The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has provided details about the weather conditions expected to affect various regions of the country on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

The authority forecasts hot and humid weather during the day across northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, while southern parts of the country will experience extremely hot conditions. The maximum temperature in Greater Cairo is expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius.

Increased humidity levels are likely to intensify the sensation of heat. The authority warns of dense fog in the morning on several agricultural and main roads near water bodies in Greater Cairo, parts of northern Egypt, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. This could lead to reduced horizontal visibility on some routes.

Additionally, there will be occasional winds in areas of Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and South Sinai. There is also a slight chance of light rain in some areas along the northern coast and northern Delta regions at intermittent times.

As for the Mediterranean Sea, conditions are expected to be light to moderate with wave heights ranging from one to one and a half meters and northwesterly winds. Meanwhile, the Red Sea will experience moderate to rough conditions with wave heights between two and two and a half meters, also with northwesterly winds.
