The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has announced key details regarding the weather forecast for Tuesday, June 9, 2026, affecting Greater Cairo and other regions.

According to a statement on their official Facebook page, today is expected to be extremely hot in most areas, with warmer conditions along the northern coasts during the day and moderate temperatures in many regions at night, becoming warm in southern Upper Egypt.

The meteorological authority also highlighted that foggy conditions are anticipated in the morning on several roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, Central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. This fog may become dense at times, potentially reducing horizontal visibility on some routes.

Additionally, winds are expected to be active in parts of Greater Cairo and South Sinai, which could stir up sand and dust in areas of the Western Desert and northern and central Upper Egypt intermittently.

The Mediterranean Sea is forecasted to have light to moderate conditions with wave heights ranging from 1.25 to 1.75 meters, while winds will blow from the northeast to northwest. Meanwhile, the Red Sea will also experience moderate conditions with wave heights between 1.5 and 2 meters and winds blowing from the northwest.
