Complete Closure on Abdel Hamid Badawy Axis for Ground Sinkage Repairs

The Cairo Traffic Department is implementing necessary traffic management measures to address expected congestion and facilitate the flow of vehicles. This is part of the efforts to repair ground sinkage on the Abdel Hamid Badawy Axis, beneath the Gamasy Bridge, heading towards New Heliopolis.

The repair work will require a complete closure of the affected area under the Gamasy Bridge, with vehicles being redirected to the right onto Joseph Tito Axis, followed by a turnaround and return from beneath the Craftsmen Bridge towards New Heliopolis.

The traffic diversions are set to commence at 5 PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, and will continue until the completion of the repair work in the specified area.

The Cairo Traffic Department has confirmed that it will coordinate with executing agencies and companies, providing technical assistance and necessary signage to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow.
