Partial Closure on October Bridge in Giza for Upgrade Works
The Giza Governorate has announced a partial closure on the October Bridge as part of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges’ efforts to expand and upgrade the bridge’s asphalt surface in both directions. This closure will occur in several sectors over a two-day period.
The works will be carried out in two phases, as detailed below:.
- Phase One: On Friday, June 12, 2026, from the entrance of Ahmed Abdel Aziz Bridge to above the Nile within Giza Governorate, from 1:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
- Phase Two: On Saturday, June 13, 2026, from above the Nile to the exit of Ahmed Abdel Aziz Bridge, from 1:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
The Giza Governorate confirmed that the General Traffic Administration has coordinated with the executing company to install necessary signage and warning lights around the work areas to ensure public safety. Traffic services will also be deployed to facilitate traffic flow during this period.
The governorate urges drivers to adhere to traffic instructions and signage for their safety and to maintain orderly traffic during the upgrade works.
