Port Said University President Highlights Strategic Partnerships for Future Job Creation

Dr. Sherif Youssef Saleh, President of Port Said University, continued his intensive activities on the second day of the Advisory Council for Business and International Cooperation held in El Alamein. The event was organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport under the leadership of Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, attracting a wide participation from ambassadors, consuls, members of the diplomatic corps, and prominent business and industry leaders from around the globe.

The event featured a series of fruitful meetings and interactive discussions led by Dr. Saleh with a select group of industry partners and innovators, focusing on the future of higher education and methods to enhance its alignment with labor market needs amid rapid global transformations. This aims to prepare generations capable of competing, innovating, and engaging in entrepreneurship.

This initiative aligns with Port Said University’s strategy to expand its regional and international partnerships while establishing an integrated educational system that connects academic knowledge with practical applications. This approach enhances graduates’ readiness for future job requirements.

Prior to these discussions, Dr. Saleh signed a tripartite agreement and established strategic partnerships in collaboration with the Arab Academy and several major economic and industrial institutions. This included participation from prominent figures such as Ahmed Tarek, Chairman of Edge Education and Bwell Healthcare; Mohamed El-Damati, Board Member of Al Ahly SC and Vice Chairman of Arab Food Industries “Domeaty”; Ihab Jawhar, CEO of Animation Advertising and co-founder of Media Hub; Ahmed Mansour, CEO of Cred Developments; Hala Khaled Al-Kassem, Chairwoman of Karina Group; along with various international officials and experts.

During the interactive dialogue, Dr. Saleh emphasized that the university’s goal extends beyond merely graduating students with academic qualifications. It aims to prepare a generation equipped with knowledge, skills, innovation capabilities, and competitiveness at both regional and international levels.

He added that these strategic partnerships represent a new step towards building an advanced educational system that links the university with industry, labor markets, and international institutions. This initiative is based on the university’s belief that effective partnerships are fundamental to creating a more sustainable future while solidifying Port Said University’s position as a leading institution regionally and internationally that actively contributes to achieving Egypt’s comprehensive development goals.
