Port Said University Signs Triangular Agreement to Foster Entrepreneurship

Dr. Sherif Youssef Saleh, President of Port Said University, participated in the Advisory Council for Business and International Cooperation held in El Alamein. The event was organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, led by Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, and saw extensive participation from ambassadors, consuls, members of the diplomatic corps, as well as prominent business and industry leaders from various countries.

This participation aligns with Port Said University’s ongoing efforts to enhance international partnerships and establish a comprehensive system that connects academic education with the future job market’s demands. This initiative aims to prepare graduates equipped with the skills and competencies needed to keep pace with rapid global transformations.

During the council’s activities, Dr. Saleh signed a triangular agreement along with strategic partnerships in collaboration with the Arab Academy and several major economic and industrial institutions. Key figures included engineer Ahmed Tarek, Chairman of Edge Education and Bwell Healthcare; Mohamed El-Damaty, board member of Al Ahly SC and Vice Chairman of Domty; engineer Ihab Gohar, CEO of Animation Advertising and co-founder of Media Hub; engineer Ahmed Mansour, CEO of Cred Developments; and Hala Khaled Al-Qasem, Chairwoman of Karina Group of Companies and Factories.

The agreement aims to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and support small and medium-sized enterprises among university youth. It will also work on developing curricula that align more closely with the needs of modern job markets and major economic institutions, contributing to the preparation of skilled human resources capable of competing locally, regionally, and internationally.

The council also discussed global trends in international cooperation and enhancing coordination mechanisms among academic, economic, and diplomatic institutions. It serves as an advanced platform for exchanging experiences and formulating future visions and action plans that support business fields and sustainable international cooperation.

Dr. Saleh emphasized that these partnerships represent a crucial strategic step in the university’s journey toward becoming more globally recognized. They enhance its capacity to leverage international relationships for achieving sustainable development goals while opening new avenues for academic, research, and economic collaboration.

He added that Port Said University continues to operate under a clear vision aimed at establishing effective institutional partnerships while providing an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with global changes, preparing students to lead the future and compete in the international job market.

This event underscores Port Said University’s success in solidifying its position as one of Egypt’s promising universities with an expanding regional and international presence through broadening its network of international partnerships while enhancing its developmental role across various fields.

Following the signing of the agreement, Dr. Saleh stated: “Port Said University does not only aim to graduate students with academic certificates but is committed to preparing a generation equipped with knowledge, skills, innovation capabilities, entrepreneurship spirit, and global competitiveness.”.

This triangular agreement marks a new step towards building an integrated educational system linking the university with industry, labor markets, and international institutions.
