Housing Minister Urges Timely Completion of Al-Fustat Hills Project

Engineer Randa El-Manshawi, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, has directed an increase in the execution rates of the “Al-Fustat Hills Gardens” project. She emphasized the need to boost labor and equipment at various sites to ensure that work is completed according to the established timelines.
During a meeting with executing companies, consultants, and project officials following her inspection tour, the minister requested weekly reports to monitor progress and achievement rates across different areas of the project.
She stressed the importance of adhering to the highest quality standards in implementation and operation while preserving the historical and cultural character of Al-Fustat. The project aims to integrate environmental, recreational, and service elements effectively.
El-Manshawi also highlighted the urgency of completing final touches in areas nearing completion and called for continuous coordination among all entities and companies involved in the project to ensure swift progress.
During her tour, the minister inspected a heritage market area spanning 60,000 square meters designed to support traditional crafts and boost tourism. This area will feature retail shops, green spaces, a hotel, and comprehensive service facilities.
The minister noted that her ministry places significant importance on the “Al-Fustat Hills Gardens” project due to its role as a major urban and developmental initiative that enhances quality of life while providing a comprehensive recreational and cultural outlet for residents and visitors in Cairo. She assured that regular monitoring would continue throughout all phases until full completion of the project.
