Immediate Demolition of Waste Recycling Facility in Shabramant Residential Area
Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, the Governor of Giza, has ordered the immediate demolition of a waste recycling facility located within the residential area of Shabramant, along with several garbage sorting points on the Mansouriya Road. This decision came after he observed these violations during a field visit on Sunday morning aimed at monitoring service delivery and identifying violations in the city and its affiliated villages.
The governor also directed the head of Abu Nomros Center and City to swiftly remove waste and debris accumulations in the Abu Muslim area, emphasizing the need to intensify cleaning efforts and regularly collect waste to combat open burning of garbage, which contributes to pollution and unpleasant odors affecting residents.

Additionally, the governor instructed the city head to review various construction and storage cases within the villages of Shabramant and Manawat to ensure compliance with necessary permits. Any unauthorized construction activities are to be immediately demolished, with legal actions taken against violators.
During his visit to Al-Hawamdiya City, the governor urged local officials to enhance cleanliness around the Al-Hawamdiya Bridge and address any immediate issues. He also called for preventing any encroachments by cafes along side streets on the Egypt/Assiut road while stressing that waste collection companies must regularly transport waste to the Shabramant landfill.
The governor’s tour included monitoring cleanliness and encroachments in Mounib Square and Bahr Al-Azam Street in South Giza, where he emphasized the importance of regular follow-ups to prevent encroachments and intrusions that could hinder traffic flow. He also insisted on intensifying efforts to remove waste and prevent garbage accumulation at collection points, ensuring immediate transport of waste to intermediate handling stations.
