The event was attended by Rustam Emomali, Chairman of the National Council of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe, alongside Umar Kremlev, President of the IBA.
The project signifies a pivotal moment in the IBA’s history, as it will have its first dedicated headquarters and gym within a comprehensive sports and tourism complex being constructed in the Sino district of Dushanbe. This facility is set to become one of Central Asia’s premier sports venues for hosting boxing competitions as well as international sports, cultural, and commercial events.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, attendees were briefed on project details covering an area exceeding 2.15 hectares. The facility will feature a three-story gym with a seating capacity for up to 7,000 spectators, along with a conference hall, advanced training facilities, and dedicated areas for athletes and VIP guests.

It will include specialized training rooms and facilities for coaches, alongside modern infrastructure serving athletes, referees, and officials.
The project also encompasses the construction of a modern five-star hotel featuring 340 hotel apartments to support major national and international events. The hotel will offer luxurious accommodations as well as standard options, conference halls, a fitness center, wellness facilities, a children’s center, restaurants, and hospitality areas on the upper floor, enhancing the complex’s status as an integrated sports and tourism destination.
The total area of the gym exceeds 26 thousand square meters and includes an underground parking facility accommodating over 200 vehicles to ensure easy access for visitors and participants in various events.
