Security and Environmental Inspection Committee Visits Sharm El Sheikh International Airport

The High Committee for Security and Environmental Inspection, led by Captain Samah Fawzy, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, conducted an inspection tour at Sharm El Sheikh International Airport. The visit included Passenger Terminals 1 and 2, as well as Terminal 3, along with various operational and service facilities at the airport.

This inspection is part of ongoing field visits aimed at monitoring readiness, security, and safety levels at Egyptian airports, following directives from Dr. Samah Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation.

During the tour, the committee examined departure and arrival halls, inspection areas, and passport control counters. They also reviewed the operational workflow of several facilities within the airport, including baggage conveyors and supporting services. The committee assessed security measures and operational procedures in place to ensure compliance with established standards and requirements, enhancing operational efficiency and service quality for travelers.

The tour also included an inspection of the lounge designated for receiving VIP guests and high-level official delegations. Additionally, the committee evaluated various operational sites within the airport to ensure their readiness and the quality of services provided, reflecting the Egyptian Airports Company’s commitment to continuously improving service standards and implementing best operational practices.

This visit is part of ongoing monitoring and evaluation efforts at Egyptian airports to support development initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and services. It aims to prepare Sharm El Sheikh International Airport for the continuous growth in travel and tourism activity.

At the end of the tour, the committee emphasized the need to continue implementing periodic follow-up plans and developing operational systems to enhance security and safety levels while improving performance.
