عبير أحمد, founder of the Egyptian Mothers Coalition for Education Advancement, emphasized the importance of recent meetings held by Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel-Latif with various stakeholders to develop specialized technical competencies. She stated that these efforts are crucial for the benefit of students and graduates.
Acknowledging the state’s initiatives, Ahmed praised the Minister’s focus on creating specialized educational frameworks in technical fields. This Thursday, the Minister met with the head of the Egyptian Drug Authority to discuss ways to enhance collaboration in training skilled professionals for the pharmaceutical industry through the establishment of specialized applied technology schools.
Furthermore, the Minister held discussions with Minister of Labor Hassan El-Raddad to explore cooperation between their ministries in preparing and qualifying technical and vocational personnel. This initiative aims to align with current and future labor market needs, thereby creating job opportunities for youth both domestically and internationally.
Ahmed highlighted the significance of specialized schools in vital sectors at both local and global levels. She asserted that Egyptian students possess impressive skills, character, and intellect, and with state support, there will be a strong demand for them in the workforce.
The Ministry of Education is set to launch 100 new applied technology schools across various fields, some in collaboration with Italian partners, starting from the academic year 2026/2027.
