Mohamed Abdel Latif, the Minister of Education and Technical Education, has been actively overseeing the high school exams since early Sunday morning from the ministry’s central operations room. His focus is on ensuring the smooth conduct of examinations across all committees nationwide, verifying that exam papers arrive on time, and creating a conducive environment for students.

In a press statement, the minister assured that comprehensive support will continue to be provided to educational directorates during the exam period. He emphasized real-time monitoring of all examination committees through the central operations room to ensure prompt responses to any emergencies and maintain strict order during the examination process.

Abdel Latif stressed the necessity of adhering to the highest standards of discipline and accuracy in implementing regulations governing examination procedures. He noted that each educational director is fully responsible for ensuring the orderly conduct of exams within their jurisdiction and must ensure complete compliance with all operational guidelines to guarantee fairness and equal opportunities for all students.

The minister also directed that there be ongoing communication between the central operations room and local operations rooms in educational directorates. This includes monitoring any observations or obstacles that may arise during the exams and addressing them immediately to ensure uninterrupted examination processes regardless of unforeseen circumstances.

Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of providing a suitable atmosphere for students within examination halls, emphasizing discipline and calmness while considering humanitarian aspects and offering necessary support to help students perform under stable and safe conditions.

According to Khaled Abdel Hakim, an advisor to the Minister of Education for Examination Affairs and supervisor of the Central Examinations Administration, this year’s high school exams are being conducted in exam clusters as part of the ministry’s plan to enhance oversight of committees and streamline security procedures. This approach aims to create a regulated and secure examination environment for students.

Each exam cluster comprises several schools with a dedicated entrance for each committee, ensuring organized student entry while preventing congestion outside exam halls. Abdel Hakim confirmed that committee heads have been instructed to begin student inspections at 8:15 AM, ensuring all procedures are completed before the exam starts. All students must be inside their respective halls by 8:50 AM at the latest.

He also stressed adherence to scheduled times for distributing question papers and answer sheets, emphasizing that no delays should occur in starting examinations to maintain regularity in the exam process and uphold equal opportunities among all students.

This year’s exams are being held across 613 exam clusters comprising 2,032 examination committees nationwide as part of efforts by the ministry to ensure orderliness and proper organization during examinations.

It is noteworthy that a total of 921,709 students are registered to take this year’s high school exams under both old and new systems; this includes 3,403 students from the old system and 918,306 from the new system. This reflects significant efforts made to ensure smooth examination processes and provide a suitable atmosphere for conducting exams throughout the country.
