Sisi and Congolese President Witness Signing of Key Agreements
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Félix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, witnessed the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding today.
The agreements were signed by various Egyptian ministers and senior officials, while their Congolese counterparts represented their side during the ceremony, attended by delegations from both countries.
The signed agreements cover priority areas for bilateral cooperation aimed at enhancing trade and investment exchanges, transferring Egyptian expertise in energy, infrastructure, and water resources, as well as capacity building and training national personnel.
During their bilateral meeting, both presidents expressed their commitment to elevating Egyptian-Congolese relations to new heights and transforming areas of cooperation into a strategic partnership that serves the interests of both nations.
This signing represents a new addition to the growing record of collaboration between Cairo and Kinshasa, occurring during President Tshisekedi’s fourth visit to Egypt in recent years.
