President Sisi Emphasizes Commitment to Supporting US-Iran Memorandum Implementation

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, and Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The meeting was attended by Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Badr Abdel Aty.
The presidential spokesperson stated that President Sisi welcomed the fourth meeting of the foreign ministers of the Quadrilateral Group, which includes Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey, hosted in Cairo.
He emphasized that recent regional developments have highlighted the pivotal role of these countries as essential pillars for regional stability and security. This underscores the importance of continuing and developing this consultative mechanism into an effective institutional framework capable of formulating comprehensive and sustainable solutions to regional crises.
President Sisi praised the intensive coordination that has occurred among the four countries in recent times. He reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to working alongside Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, and all Arab and regional nations to support the implementation of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding and to ensure a successful negotiation process between both sides. He also stressed the need for a fair and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue as a prerequisite for achieving lasting regional stability.


Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the presidential spokesperson, noted that the three ministers expressed their deep gratitude for their meeting with President Sisi, which reaffirms Egypt’s steadfast position in positively engaging in efforts to support peace and stability both regionally and internationally.
The ministers commended the constructive discussions held during their fourth meeting in Cairo, agreeing with President Sisi on prioritizing the enhancement of coordination among the four countries to transform it into an effective institutional framework.
The spokesperson also mentioned that the meeting addressed recent developments regarding the Iranian crisis. President Sisi reiterated Egypt’s welcome of the memorandum reached between the US and Iran, praising Pakistan’s active role in bridging positions and closing gaps between the two sides.
He stressed the necessity of continued joint efforts to implement the memorandum of understanding and complete negotiations between both parties leading to a comprehensive final agreement. He asserted that any final agreement must ensure the security of Gulf Cooperation Council states and all Arab countries while respecting their sovereignty and territorial integrity. It should also adhere to principles of good neighborliness, guarantee freedom of navigation, and commit to resolving disputes peacefully.
