Sisi and Congolese President Witness Signing of Agreements and MOUs

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his counterpart, President Félix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo, witnessed the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and agreements between their countries. This event took place at the Presidential Palace during President Tshisekedi’s visit to Egypt.

The signed agreements included a memorandum on political and diplomatic consultations, signed by Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, alongside his Congolese counterpart. Additionally, an agreement was made to enhance investment relations between the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones in Egypt and the Congolese Agency for Investment Promotion, with signatures from both foreign ministers.

Furthermore, a project memorandum was signed for establishing an Egyptian wing for cardiovascular diseases at Al-Nahda Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which was endorsed by both the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Congolese Minister of Health.

Another MOU was signed between the Administrative Capital Company and the Ministry of Planning and Housing in Egypt to foster collaboration in housing and urban development. This agreement was also signed by Dr. Badr Abdel Aty along with the Congolese Minister of Urban Planning and Housing.
