Al-Azhar University Hosts Discussion on Miraculous Aspects of Celestial Bodies

The Interpretation Forum at Al-Azhar University is continuing its weekly session today, focusing on “The Miraculous Aspects of the Qur’an’s Discussion on Celestial Bodies and Shooting Stars.” The event features Dr. Shaaban Attia, a professor of interpretation at Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Usul al-Din, and Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim from the Faculty of Science at Al-Azhar University. The discussion is moderated by Alaa Arabi, a broadcaster from the Qur’an Radio.
Dr. Abdul Moneim Fouad, the general supervisor of scientific activities at the Azharite Pavilion, stated that this forum provides an important opportunity for reflection on the verses of the Qur’an and contemplation of their meanings, while also opening new avenues for research into miraculous phenomena. He added that the forum will contribute to enhancing religious and cultural awareness among participants and encourage deep thinking about religious texts.
In his remarks, Dr. Hani Ouda, the director-general of Al-Azhar Mosque, expressed his happiness with the launch of this forum, emphasizing the significance of Qur’anic miracles in shaping the identity of the Muslim community.
Ouda stated, “The Azharite Pavilion always seeks to provide knowledge that contributes to building an informed and educated society. The Interpretation Forum is a new step toward achieving this goal.” He noted that the forum will be held regularly every Sunday, hosting a selection of scholars and specialized professors. Additionally, time will be allocated for questions and open discussions among participants, allowing them to interact and exchange ideas.
