AC Milan Clarifies Coaching Situation, Moves Away from Arne Slot
Recent reports indicate significant developments regarding the head coach position at AC Milan, particularly following the mention of Dutch manager Arne Slot, the former head coach of Liverpool FC, as a candidate to lead the team next season.
According to renowned Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio via Sky Sport, Slot is no longer a strong contender for the Milan job, as his chances have notably diminished in recent weeks.
Sources suggest that the Dutch coach is currently not viewing the Milan position as a primary option for his future, as he considers several other offers before making a final decision about his next destination.
In contrast, Austrian manager Oliver Glasner and Argentine Mauricio Pochettino have seen their profiles rise as the leading candidates to take over the Italian club. The management is keen to resolve this matter swiftly.
Glasner recently parted ways with Crystal Palace after successfully leading them to win the UEFA Europa Conference League title, while Pochettino is currently preparing the United States national team for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
It is noteworthy that since taking charge of Liverpool at the beginning of last season, Slot succeeded in winning the Premier League title but was unable to add further trophies to his record during his tenure with the English club.
