Kahraba: Zamalek Fans Still Love Me Despite Past Issues
Mohamed Abdel-Monem Kahraba, the former Al Ahly player, opened up about his relationship with Zamalek fans following the infamous controversy that led to him paying a fine to the club due to unilaterally terminating his contract with them.
During his appearance on the podcast “Mal’abna,” Kahraba stated, “Zamalek fans still love me, and I love them too. There are no problems between us. I played two matches against them, and everything is fine now.”.
He added, “To those who insulted me, I told them it’s all good. That’s natural; I’ve grown up and gotten used to everything. No matter what you say, you’re on my mind, and feel free to express yourself as you wish.”.
Kahraba continued, “Not all fans insult me; it might just be one person who shouts. In the last match against Zamalek, someone insulted me as I was leaving, and many sent me videos of it suggesting that I file a complaint.”.
He noted that he declined to take any legal action against the fan, saying, “If I filed a complaint against him, he would end up in jail. But I told them no; may God guide him. I’m not going to harm him. He might have been frustrated after Zamalek’s draw and directed all his anger at me. I can handle it.”.
