Severe Weather Expected Across Egypt on Wednesday, June 3, 2026

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has announced significant weather phenomena expected to impact the country on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

In a statement on its official Facebook page, the authority indicated that extremely hot weather is anticipated across most regions, with high temperatures along the northern coasts during the day. The maximum temperature in Greater Cairo is forecasted to reach 38 degrees Celsius.

Morning fog is also expected on several roads leading to and from northern areas up to Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, with conditions potentially becoming dense at times.

Additionally, light rain is forecasted for areas of the northwestern coasts and northern Nile Delta regions, with a possibility of moderate and sometimes thunderous rain in western desert areas at a likelihood of 20%.

Clouds are expected to appear over northern Upper Egypt and southern Nile Delta regions, including Greater Cairo and the Suez Canal cities, especially during the afternoon until the end of the day. There may be weak chances of light rain in scattered areas, accompanied by intermittent gusts of wind across most regions.

The Mediterranean Sea is expected to be moderate with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2 meters, while winds will be blowing from the southeast/northeast. Meanwhile, conditions in the Red Sea are anticipated to be moderate to rough with wave heights between 1.5 and 2.5 meters and winds coming from the northwest.
