Written byNoha El Shafie

Dr. Ahmed El-Ansary, the Governor of Giza, conducted an inspection tour to assess the general state of cleanliness and obstructions in the neighborhoods of Boulaq Dakrour, Talbiya, Omrania, and Haram.

During his visit, the governor instructed local officials to shut down seven cafés, three juice shops, and a pet shop for encroaching on public streets. He emphasized the need for daily inspections to identify any violations by shops and cafés, with immediate closures for any that infringe upon streets or sidewalks or utilize facilities without permits.

The governor’s tour covered several streets including Khatem El-Morsaleen, Tarasa, Faisal, Taawon, Haram, Sherbini, Amr Ibn Al-As, Arish, Maryoutiya, and Labeni.

He also noted a gathering of vendors near the entrance of Arish Street intersecting with Faisal Street and promptly directed the head of Talbiya district to remove them immediately while ensuring regular monitoring to prevent their return and maintain smooth traffic flow.

El-Ansary further urged district heads to combat waste burning by tightening oversight on waste collection companies operating in their areas. He called for coordination with the General Authority for Cleaning and Beautification to ensure regular removal of waste accumulations across different sectors and timely transportation to handling stations.
