Complete Closure on Kamel Amer Axis for Two Hours Today

The Giza Governorate has announced a complete closure of the Kamel Amer Axis at its intersection with the 26th of July Axis for two hours, ending at noon today.

This closure is part of the construction works for the ongoing monorail project located above the Kamel Amer Axis at its junction with the 26th of July Axis, specifically in front of the Youth Center in Ard El Lewa, for vehicles coming from the Menia area towards Beshteel Station.

The General Directorate of Giza Traffic has implemented the following traffic diversions:.

Alternative Route One:

Vehicles coming from Kamel Amer Axis wishing to continue towards the western circular road must divert onto University Streets, then make a U-turn and return towards Sudan Street. They should continue on Sudan Street, then make another U-turn towards the entrance to the 26th of July Axis, heading towards Kamel Amer Axis, reaching the western circular road after passing through the construction area.

Alternative Route Two:

Vehicles from Kamel Amer Axis intending to proceed to the western circular road must divert onto University Streets and continue towards Ahmed Orabi Street. They should then ascend onto Orabi Bridge towards Orabi Tunnel, reaching the entrance to the western circular road after passing through the construction area.

The Giza Governorate urges citizens and vehicle drivers to adhere to the specified traffic diversions and follow guidance signs and instructions from traffic officers to avoid congestion and ensure smooth traffic flow during construction work.

Additionally, the General Directorate of Giza Traffic has coordinated with the executing company to place necessary signage, warning lights, and safety measures around the work area to ensure public safety. Traffic personnel have also been deployed to manage traffic flow effectively.
