Egypt Condemns Attack on UNIFIL Forces in Southern Lebanon

Egypt has condemned the recent attack on a site belonging to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), which resulted in the death of a Serbian soldier and injuries to two others from Spain and El Salvador.

The Egyptian government firmly rejects any targeting of UN peacekeeping forces and emphasizes the importance of ensuring the safety and security of their personnel. It calls for enabling them to carry out their duties according to their UN mandate, which contributes to supporting peace and stability in brotherly Lebanon.

Egypt extends its heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the government and people of Serbia over the death of the Serbian soldier, wishing a swift recovery to those injured.
