Written byFerdous Saeed

Mohamed Salah, the captain of the Egyptian national team and a prominent figure in football, captured attention recently when he met a Palestinian child from Gaza in a heartwarming scene that garnered widespread attention on social media.

Salah took a commemorative photo with the child and signed a football, gifting it to him. This generous gesture came after the child was injured due to recent events in the region.

The star is highly regarded both on and off the pitch, not only for his sporting achievements but also for his repeated humanitarian efforts that reflect his concern for societal issues and support for various humanitarian cases.

Currently, Salah is preparing with the Egyptian national team for an upcoming friendly match against Brazil, scheduled for early Sunday morning, as part of their training program ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Regarding his professional future, Salah is still contemplating his next move following his departure from Liverpool at the end of last season. He has chosen to postpone any decisions about his new destination and focus entirely on representing Egypt in the World Cup.

The Egyptian national team is placed in Group G for the 2026 World Cup, alongside Belgium, Iceland, and Iran, in what is expected to be a fiercely competitive group for qualification.
