In line with directives from Dr. Salah Suleiman Jambalat, Egypt’s Minister of Military Production, the ministry is actively participating in the International Water and Wastewater Technology Exhibition. The event is scheduled to take place from June 23 to June 25 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo. This participation underscores the ministry’s commitment to enhancing national industries and boosting local production.

Several military production companies are showcasing a diverse range of products and solutions related to water and wastewater sectors. Helwan Foundries (Factory 9) will present various types of valves (including 3-inch, non-return, and knife valves), manhole covers, pump bodies, and gaskets. Meanwhile, Shubra Engineering Industries (Factory 27) will display structural engines (including a powerful 7.5 horsepower engine and a 3 horsepower electric motor) alongside a Deutz FL511 engine and a Dutch pump powered by an f2l511 engine.

Additionally, Qaha Chemical Industries (Factory 270) will provide brochures on submersible pumps and water stations. Helwan Metal Devices (Factory 360) will feature a device that generates water from air, while Helwan Diesel Engines (Factory 909) will present a water-saving device along with informational materials on various pumps they produce. Furthermore, Helwan Machinery and Equipment (Factory 999) will showcase a model of pivot irrigation machines as well as water meters.

This exhibition aims to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors in deepening local manufacturing and localizing modern technologies in the water and wastewater sectors. The Ministry of Military Production’s involvement reflects its commitment to collaborating with various state entities to maximize the utilization of surplus production capacities within its affiliated companies. This initiative aims to manufacture high-quality civil products at competitive prices, thereby easing the burden on citizens while supporting national efforts toward sustainable development. This effort complements the ministry’s primary mission to meet the needs of the armed forces and police for advanced weapons, ammunition, machinery, equipment, and electronic systems.
