Over 921,000 Students Begin General Secondary School Exams Today

Today, Sunday, marks the start of the General Secondary School Certificate examinations for the academic year 2025/2026. On the first day of exams, students will take tests in subjects that are not included in the overall grade, according to the schedule approved by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. Comprehensive preparations and strict security measures have been implemented to ensure smooth exam proceedings across the country.
This year, a total of 921,709 students are registered for the General Secondary exams, including 918,306 students under the new system and 3,403 under the old system. The students will be distributed across 2,032 examination committees within 613 examination centers nationwide.
On Sunday, June 21, students will take the Religious Education exam from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by the National Education exam from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
According to the announced schedule, students will take the Second Foreign Language exam on Tuesday, June 23. The Arabic Language exam is scheduled for Sunday, June 28. Students in the Science and Mathematics stream will have their Chemistry exam on Thursday, July 2, while students in the Arts stream will take their Geography exam on the same day.
On Sunday, July 5, students will sit for their First Foreign Language exam. The Physics exam for Science and Mathematics students and the History exam for Arts students will take place on Thursday, July 9.
The Pure Mathematics exam for Mathematics stream students is scheduled for Sunday, July 12. Meanwhile, on Thursday, July 16, Mathematics stream students will take their Applied Mathematics exam while Science students will sit for Biology. Arts stream students will complete their exams with Statistics on that day. This marks the conclusion of the General Secondary School examinations.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education has confirmed its full readiness for the commencement of exams and will continue to monitor operations within examination committees to ensure a secure and orderly testing environment that upholds equal opportunities for all students.
