FIFA Imposes Transfer Ban on Zamalek for the 18th Time
The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has announced a transfer ban on Zamalek SC for two transfer windows due to ongoing legal issues involving the club.
According to information published on FIFA’s official website, Zamalek currently faces a total of 18 legal cases. The club’s management is actively working to resolve these issues in hopes of lifting the transfer ban in the near future.
This latest sanction is part of a series of financial and legal challenges that Zamalek has encountered in recent years, primarily stemming from unpaid dues owed to several former players and coaches. These outstanding payments have led to rulings and decisions from relevant sports authorities.
Previously, the Court of Arbitration for Sport rejected an urgent request from Zamalek to suspend the transfer ban, which was imposed as a disciplinary measure due to the increasing number of cases against the club. The ban will remain in effect until the outstanding matters are addressed and financial obligations are settled.
