Hossam Labib, the president of Zamalek Club, revealed the details behind acquiring land in Sixth of October City for a new club branch, emphasizing that the project signifies a crucial turning point for investment and sustainable financial resources for the club in the coming years.
During a television interview with journalist Amr Adib, Labib expressed gratitude to the political leadership and all entities that contributed to resolving the issue. He highlighted that the support from state institutions played a significant role in reaching this solution, which serves the future of the club.
Labib also thanked members of the board of directors, acknowledging their resilience under pressure during recent times and their commitment to finding genuine solutions to the challenges facing the club. He particularly praised Hossam Nasr’s contributions to this effort.
Investment as a Solution to Financial Crises
The Zamalek president pointed out that the gap between expenses and revenues necessitated seeking new income sources. He clarified that the new project is not limited to sports but also includes investment and commercial elements that will continually support the club’s budget.
He added that the idea for a new branch arose after a series of meetings and discussions with relevant authorities to formulate a plan that benefits the club while ensuring a financial resource to address current and future challenges.
Labib confirmed that the new branch will cover a significantly larger area compared to the main headquarters, stating it will surpass Mitaqba facilities in terms of stadiums and sports services, contributing to substantial improvements in Zamalek’s infrastructure.
He noted that the commercial area associated with the project would not only serve club members but also create a service and investment center benefiting the surrounding community.
The Zamalek president discussed membership matters, stating there will be a special system for memberships at the new branch, with details set to be announced soon according to applicable regulations and laws.
He mentioned that existing members at headquarters would have access to services across different branches, except for certain cases tied to previously agreed membership conditions.
