Egypt’s National Football Team Heads to Seattle After New Zealand Match
Ibrahim Hassan, the manager of Egypt’s national football team, confirmed that the squad will depart from Vancouver, Canada, to Seattle on the evening of June 22 following their match against New Zealand in the second round of the 2026 World Cup. The team is heading to Seattle in preparation for their third match against Iran.
Hassan noted that the original plan was for the team to return from Canada to Spokane before traveling to Seattle on June 24. However, they opted for a direct flight to Seattle to minimize travel disruptions for the players as they prepare for the match against Iran.
Egypt is gearing up for a challenging encounter against New Zealand in the second round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for June 21.
The match will kick off at 9 PM local time in the United States, which translates to 4 AM Cairo time on June 22. The Egyptian team aims to secure a positive result that will enhance their chances of advancing to the next round.
