Written byFerdous Saeed

Sunderland is reportedly in discussions with Juventus regarding a potential transfer for Khephren Thuram during this summer’s transfer window. The 25-year-old midfielder’s future is generating significant interest, with multiple clubs, including those from the Premier League, eager to secure his services.

According to Calciomercato, Sunderland has reached out to Juventus to inquire about the conditions for a possible summer deal. The Italian giants are believed to be open to selling Thuram for financial reasons, with a transfer fee anticipated to be around €40 million (£34.6 million).

Nottingham Forest, having successfully avoided relegation from the Premier League last season, is also reportedly interested in acquiring Thuram.

Thuram had a productive 2025-26 season with Juventus, contributing four goals and five assists across 45 appearances in all competitions. His contract with the club extends until the summer of 2029.

Brighton Set to Activate Kaminski’s Release Clause

In other transfer news, Brighton & Hove Albion has until mid-July to activate a €20 million (£17.3 million) release clause in the contract of Jakub Kaminski from FC Koln. The 24-year-old forward spent the previous season on loan at FC Koln from Wolfsburg, where he netted seven goals and provided five assists in 36 appearances.

Kaminski has attracted interest from several clubs following his impressive performance last season. Although he has now completed a permanent move to FC Koln, the existence of a release clause means he could leave immediately if Brighton acts quickly.

According to BILD, Brighton leads the Premier League interest in Kaminski, but they must act before the buy-out fee expires in mid-July. Known for his versatility, Kaminski primarily plays on the left wing and boasts a career record of 11 goals and 13 assists in 104 Bundesliga appearances.

Forest and Palace Compete for Celtic’s Arne Engels

Additionally, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are reportedly vying for Celtic midfielder Arne Engels this summer. The 22-year-old has made a notable impact at Celtic, scoring 17 goals and providing 21 assists in 98 matches.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that both clubs are actively pursuing Engels, who is expected to leave Celtic this summer. Forest views him as an ideal replacement for Elliot Anderson, who is set to join Manchester City.

However, Crystal Palace remains optimistic about persuading Engels to choose Selhurst Park over a move to Forest. Engels is currently under contract with Celtic until the summer of 2028.
