Inter Milan Chairman Discusses Potential Transfer for Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga

Written byFerdous Saeed

Inter Milan is reportedly pursuing Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga as the summer transfer window approaches. The 23-year-old’s future has become a topic of speculation, with indications that Real Madrid may be open to selling him for the right price.

Manchester United is also interested in Camavinga, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Inter Milan is actively seeking to secure his signature. Recent discussions took place between Inter chairman Giuseppe Marotta and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez regarding a possible transfer.

Camavinga struggled to find his best form during the 2025-26 season, which ultimately led to him missing out on a spot in France’s squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup—a significant setback considering his potential.

Inter’s Interest in Camavinga

Despite the interest from Inter Milan, sources suggest that Camavinga aims to compete for his place at Real Madrid. However, this stance could change if the club signals a willingness to let him depart ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Since joining from Rennes in 2021, Camavinga has made 223 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring six goals and providing 11 assists. His involvement was notable during the last season, with 43 appearances across all competitions, although he struggled to secure consistent starting positions towards the end of the campaign.

The Future of Camavinga at Real Madrid

This summer transfer window promises to be intriguing for Real Madrid, particularly following Jose Mourinho’s return as head coach. The club has already confirmed the signing of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea and anticipates further additions.

Aurelien Tchouameni is expected to remain at Bernabeu despite Manchester United’s interest, while Dani Ceballos may depart. Should Camavinga leave, it would prompt Real Madrid to search for a replacement in midfield.

Unless a significant offer materializes this summer, it would be prudent for Real Madrid to retain a player of Camavinga’s caliber, as replacing him would require considerable investment. Nonetheless, it remains uncertain how well he will fit into Mourinho’s plans as changes are anticipated at Bernabeu.
