Egypt and Denmark’s Foreign Ministers Welcome US-Iran Agreement
Egypt and Denmark’s Foreign Ministers.
Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Denmark’s Foreign Minister, on Monday during the eleventh meeting of the Egypt-European Union Partnership Council.
During their meeting, Minister Abdel Aty congratulated his Danish counterpart on his reappointment in the new Danish government, expressing hope for continued joint efforts to enhance strategic relations between the two friendly nations.
He emphasized the importance of holding the next round of political consultations between Egypt and Denmark, as well as convening the first meeting of the Egyptian-Danish Business Council to bolster trade and investment ties, while acknowledging the significant role Danish companies play in supporting Egypt’s economic development efforts.
The ministers exchanged views on recent regional and international developments. In this context, they welcomed the agreement reached between the United States and Iran, expressing their hope that this agreement will foster a new phase of calm that supports security and stability in the region while opening broader avenues for cooperation and development. Minister Abdel Aty reviewed Egypt’s diligent efforts over recent months with regional partners to bridge gaps that contributed to reaching this agreement.
